More limited information is available from the ScoliActive website itself. It’s not possible at this time to furnish information from this website, because it is administered by Weebly. However, to our knowledge, no personalized data is collected. On both ScoliActive and ScoliActive Education, Google Analytics tracks some data in order to facilitate search-engine optimization and provide basic marketing data about referring sites for us. This information is fully anonymous and impossible to track back to individual IP addresses. Please reach out to Google in order to learn more about how Google tracks its registered users. You may opt out of this sort of tracking by using your browser’s “private mode” and not logging into Google.
Payment Information
Payments are processed securely via PayPal. We receive a token certifying your payment, but we do not store any of your financial information. For any data collected by PayPal, please refer to PayPal's privacy policies.
Course Progress Visibility
Upon completing a course, you’ll receive a “badge” visible on your profile. Other users can only view that profile if they know your username or if you have chosen to make that profile public. Instructors and certain administrative staff may access your course completion data to assist with maintenance and support. We treat all such information strictly confidential.
Messaging on the Platform
Course administrators are able to view personal messages exchanged by participants on the site. Thus, please consider this when choosing how to message any potential colleagues.
Certificates of Completion
Certificates are issued when you pass a course's final exam and include a QR code and unique identifier, which can be used to verify the certificate on the ScoliActive Education website. This process reveals your full name and the completed course to the verifier. It is designed to be secure, and to protect your information unless the unique identifier is used.
Data Deletion Requests
You may request that we delete your user profile. While we can remove your account, some logs tied to your username may remain in our system, and data stored by PayPal will need to be addressed through the PayPal platform. In some cases, we may be unable to delete specific types of information, however we will do our best to accommodate your request. Emails sent to us through the platform or to us directly will remain in our records.
Notifications
You can customize how you receive notifications from the ScoliActive Education platform. By default, site notifications are forwarded to your email, but you can adjust these settings in your profile. Contact us if you need help managing your notifications.
